I was introduced to Sophrology during my first pregnancy with my daughter, 30 years ago. I was following a Prenatal Sophrology course at this time. Since then I have taken classes in; Self-Hypnosis, Meditation and Mindfulness. Although, I like these methods, I always tend to compare them with Sophrology. Hence my decision to follow the Sophro-Ki Diploma Course.
I completed the 1st Level of the Sophrology at the end of last year and have been doing the exercises on a daily basis since then. I have learned, and am still learning, more about myself and how to break old patterns to help me improve my daily life. I have regained self-confidence and have less and less negative emotions. I am in the lucky position to have a full time, interesting, rewarding and demanding job where I can use my knowledge and experience to help colleagues, especially during these difficult times. Over the past months I have stepped back from the troubles of everyday life and to calmly manage the different pressures that can manifest without warning. With the help of the breathing exercises I can quickly calm down and be less stressed when confronted. I also now express myself with more ease and confidence.
The Sophro and breathing exercises give me a feeling of total relaxation and contentment. I am now able to be in the present moment and not losing myself in fear of the future for what may happen or in the past for what has happened. I am more self-aware of the changes I need to make in my life in order to regain a better work / life balance.
I look forward to exploring Sophrology further.
